A Message From Our Transportation Department:
The 2015-2016 opening of school for the Transportation Department has been interesting and not without its challenges!   Traffic is flowing nicely at the new bus garage at Fishkill Plains and driver station at Van Wyck.  Additionally, there have been changes to the student pick up and drop off plans at a few District schools.  The modifications are working well and provide for a safer environment for both students and staff.
Local road construction has been another interesting twist to this year’s opening.  The Village of Wappingers and Palen Road in East Fishkill are two areas where traffic congestion continues to be evident and District staff have been working diligently with Town Departments to find the best routes to navigate these areas.
Transportation is always a busy department at the opening of school and this year has proven no different.  The safety of our students is of utmost importance and every decision we make has that top priority in mind.
