ShopThe Oak Grove Village Bake Shop is a business operated by the students in grades 1 to 5 at Oak Grove. Parent volunteers help the children carry out their duties as they sell homemade treats to other students and staff members.
The Bake Shop is open three or four times during the school year. Students apply math skills as they learn about the world of work. The money earned from the bake sales is donated to "Share Our Strength," an organization dedicated to eliminating childhood hunger in the United States.
