The Wappingers District Marching Band comprises students from Wappingers Jr. High, VanWyck, RCK, and JJ. The ensemble performs at RCK and JJ home football games and in community parades.
When and where are the meetings?
Practices are every Friday from 3-5pm at Van Wyck Junior High. Parades and other events will be announced at the practices. A calendar of Marching Band events can be found here. We also rehearse for a week in august to prepare for the fall season.
Who are the members of this Club?
The ensemble has 25 members from the district's junior and senior high schools, but we are always looking for more to join!
How can I join?
Any students who reads music or plays a band instrument in grades 8-12 may join the group. Contact Mr. Weinrich at VW, Ms. Issman at JJ, or come to rehearsal to sign up.
